Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Gainesville is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Gainesville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

After going through a traumatic 18 months with UF and being left with no teeth it took me another year to save up $4000 to put towards me having teeth again and feeling better about myself in general. I reached out to this place and explained what I had gone through, we went over prices and options then set a date for me to come in. At my appointment I brought in the top denture and bottom partial from UF that were "too big" and explained where/how. They took them and continued on making the mold. After a few appointments my teeth were finally ready. The give you 90 days of free adjustments I was told. Ok awesome cause the set they had just gave me were HUGE. Upon leaving I walked to my truck looked in the mirror and noticed the teeth were slanted. so I walked back in, told the lady at the front and they sent me to the back again. I mentioned to the male dentist that they teeth were slanted. He looked told me they looked fine and sent me away. I go home and just cannot wear the denture or partial as they causing pain. This was on a Friday. I call on monday to make an appointment for an adjustment and they attempt to schedule me 2 weeks out. I begin to panic being I had just paid $3

The Dr. was easy too communicate with, answered questions fully. The staff, I came in contact with 5 of them, all had perfunctory responses. The young lady who took thy he impressions walked up behind me and said βopen your mouth up wide β and shoved this mass in my mouth with a further word other than commands for position my head. I was simply a task she was assigned to. For reference sake, I have been a nurse in some capacity since my teens when I became a combat medic to currently a family nurse practitioner. I lectured at UF, FSU, and others about nursing practice, which primarily had to do with, initially establishing a therapeutic relationship. If your staff could find done way to understand the benefit, your practice would talked about. Where else would making a patient feel comfortable and safe be more appreciated than a dentist office!? Sorry to say, but your office failed at that. People will not remember instruction you give them, but they will remember how you make them feel.

From the front desk, to the back dental chairs, out to the checkout, No one was very professional. Coming into any dental office, the patient should feel relaxed and welcomed. I didnt get that at my appointment. I think the staff needs to polish up, on customer services π€

I took my mom here for a consultation. This is the fourth place we have visited. Dr. Showstark was very informative, concise, direct but very personable and funny. He made my mom laugh and feel comfortable. Dr. Witt is also very informative, articulate and pragmatic. His Honesty and directness is very refreshing and reassuring. He explained what we should expect and gave us a good outline of the process. They definitely live up to their name and are number 1 on our list. After I finish translating all the documents for my mom so she can fully understand what to expect and how to prepare, we will make our decision. This is definitely a place I would recommend to consider. I donβt think you will be disappointed. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable.

Wasn't given much information on care or how to even put them in. As a first time denture owner I expected more time with the staff explaining what to expect. My partial bottom dentures dont fit and make my gums bleed. I understand theres a time for adjustment with these things but I cant eat with them in without them sounding like theyre cracking my remaining bottom teeth. I havent been able to eat with them in since I got them. Otherwise I was very excited to get my new teeth and theyre beautiful.I just needed more direction on care, insertion and healing/adjustment time.
